Description, measurements & photos

A branch-style perch in a compact T shape

A horizontal wooden branch forms the standing surface, with a vertical stem and metal fixing hardware below. The natural-looking surface varies along its length rather than forming a perfectly uniform dowel. The gallery shows it mounted on a cage for small birds.

Fit it securely and check the grip

Choose a perch size and surface appropriate for your bird’s feet, and secure the fitting to a suitable cage section. Check for splinters, loose hardware and soiling regularly. A variety of appropriate perch shapes is preferable to assuming one diameter suits every bird.
